Stillness in Presence

The series “Stillness in Presence” was created in 2003 and shown in November of that year at Eckhaus 27 in Wettenberg-Krofdorf-Gleiberg. In the image of the phoenix – the bird that burns and rises rejuvenated from the ashes – the themes of death, transience and transformation come together. The series comprises 49 sculptural and ceramic works in clay, porcelain, feathers, wood, iron, stone and other materials.
